Creep Testing Service | JTL
We will evaluate the creep properties of materials and products under both room temperature and temperature-controlled environments.
This service provides creep testing, which involves holding a specimen at a constant temperature and applying a constant load to measure the strain that changes over time (the change in material length or the time until fracture). This test is particularly conducted for evaluating materials used at high temperatures for extended periods. Creep curves, creep strength, and time-strain can be determined. When a constant load is applied to a material and it is left for a long time, the changes increase over time, and if the limit is exceeded, it ultimately leads to failure. Tensile creep testing is conducted to determine the creep rupture life. Additionally, the time until failure is measured by varying the stress (load) and plotting it on a graph. From this curve, the relationship between the stress that leads to failure and time can be determined. *At JTL, we offer creep testing services using a tensile compression testing machine. Please consult us as there may be some testing conditions that we cannot accommodate.*
